The ghd hair straighteners heat up very quickly. They have a heat setting which is good for my fine, bleached blonde hair, and they always make my hair straight for a very long time, and they certainly match the results of my sisters GHD straighteners on my hair. Also, the heat proof mat that came with them is very handy, and it has stopped my carpet being melted many a time. They also have a nice long cord which doesn't tend to tangle too badly. Also, they don't seem to have damaged my bleached blonde (from bright red) hair, and I use them almost every day.

Overall, the ghd hair straighteners are a really good hair straightener. I don't see why anyone would have any problem with it. I only bought them as I couldn't get GHD's, but I'm glad I saved the 100 dollar that I would otherwise have spent on a product that isn't really that much better.
